So, I was scrolling through my tumblr a few minutes ago and came across this post ( I left the usernames above the post in case you were curious) . This simple post just about brought me to tears. I think is something that we all struggle with sometimes; love. I know it's something that I personally struggle with quite a lot. But you have to put it into perspective. We are told to love as we have been loved.
John 13 34-35 A new command I give you. Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
What do you notice when you read that verse? The repetition?  The fact that the phrase "Love one another" was used three times is making a statement. But we all know that. We've been told this from the beginning. So why is it that this is such a hard task for us? Because it hurts us? So maybe there's this girl who is dating the guy you like, and maybe she isn't the nicest to you. Maybe there's this guy in your class who is always finding a way to get on your last nerve. Maybe someone has caused you so much pain, physical or emotional, that you've cried yourself to sleep before. And you think, how could I forgive such a thing!?
Personally, I would see this as an opportunity! If this person, who ever they may be, has clearly hurt you, and sees you showing them nothing but love towards them, they will notice your love. They will be able to see Jesus' love through you!
I may have gotten a bit (okay a lot) off topic there, but it's just what came out. I don't really ever plan and proofread these posts. I literally just sit down whenever I fell like I need to talk about something, so please excuse my rants (: I love you guys!

You Are More- Tenth Avenue North

I've been a fan of Tenth Avenue North for quite some time now, but I'd never gotten around to listening to this song until about a week or two ago. Looking back, I think I remember hearing it once one the radio, but I'd never actually listened to it until recently. And I wish, I would have looked it up the second I'd heard of it. This song really would have helped me about a year ago. I felt like I wasn't worthy of forgiveness. I wrote a poem about it once, and I used the phrase "I feel as though I've failed the test, yet You've graded on a curve." I kept dwelling on my mistakes, and everything wrong I'd done in my day to day life. There are some lyrics in the song, that really spoke to me:
"Well she tries to believe it, that she's been given new life. But she can't shake the feeling, that it's not true tonight."
That's exactly the phase I was going through, and it was a dark time in my life. It was really hard to get out of as well. But then I remembered, when I accepted Jesus into my life, I was forgiven. Right then and there, and there is nothing, I could do that would ever change that. Ever. Now that right there, is a great feeling. Hope you guys like the song.

Beautiful Voices 1

So, I have an obsession with the internet... who doesn't? But one of the things I find myself doing the most is listen to covers on You-Tube. I know there are some people out there who don't like covers, and in a way I agree with them. The people who take an amazing song and completely change it into something different... I hate you. BUT there are still some covers that I think are amazing. Like this one. I was trying to find a piano cover for "Unintended" by Muse this morning, and stumbled into this. At first, I was a bit on the "oh god not another cover" side, but once I heard her voice, I was amazed. If you've ever heard this song before, you know what I mean when I say that it is HARD!
You have to have a very wide vocal range, especially for the lower notes. But she never struggles for a second. Her voice is very strong, and power, which really helps with the tone of the song. After hearing it once or twice, I figured I had to share it with SOMEONE! So here you guys go, enjoy being mesmerized.

21. Has anyone ever written a poem or song for or about you? Yes, I deal with anxiety attacks and depression, and there was one day 2 months ago that was really bad for me, and a good friend of mine, Natalie, wrote a poem about how it gets better. I treasure that poem

Okay that's enough questions :P For my next post, I'll answer a question or two. :)

So that new year's resolution...yeah (and my new work out playlist)

So it's just a bit over half way through 2013, and wow did that fly by quickly. So... how's your New Year's resolution going? If you're anything like me, you haven't thought twice about your resolutions since the second week in January, which personally I think is completely normal. I mean we're only human right? The good news is, it's not too late, you still have about 5 months to kick that resolution out of the ballpark! I had this realization earlier this week, and well, that's why I'm on this blog in the first place! My two resolutions were to get out of my comfort zone (and get into shape, but we'll get into that in a second) I know that creating a blog isn't that "crazy" but for me, it's a step in the right direction. It's a way to communicate with new people in a different way, where I normally wouldn't :)
Then, last night I went to a "Jam Night" with my church with a bunch of people who, at the beginning of the night I didn't know. But by 10, we were all laughing, playing music, and having a great time. Now, if you don't know me, I'm a really shy person, but I love to sing. I've only sang (by myself anyways) to my family and close friends. But last night, I had no problem belting out in front of 10 maybe 15 strangers. And honestly, it wasn't the bad at all.... Where on earth was I going with this story...?
Right! Resolutions. I was trying to use that story as an attempt of inspiration (though it probably didn't help much...) OF IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Now, like me, I know that most people have the resolution of "get in shape" whether it means losing weight, or just exercising. And I find that I can do everything better with music (who doesn't). So to help you, and myself get back on track, here's my new work out playlist (will be on my playlist page as well) KEEP PUSHING EVERYONE! Remember, you made these resolutions for a reason!

Now, not all of these songs are super up beat and "get up and go" and I know that's what most people look for in work out playlists, so I put a "*" before all the songs that are fast(ish) and up beat
